Looks wise, they are very similar, however, they each have their use and we offer both. The biggest difference between the two is that fibreglass columns are structural without the need of a support to be installed. We can install larger porch columns (taller than 12 ft), however there are limits. Each installation would need to be reviewed to see if it's something we can tackle. We offer installation of Aluminum Railings in four colors, Black, White, Pewter and Bronze. Our railings are available in both 36" and 42" height along with stair railings. The railings can be measured properly once the new columns are installed.
